Alsion

Alsion is a knowledge and cultural center located in Sønderborg (on the Sundeved side).

Alsion was inaugurated by Queen Margrethe on October 30, 2007.
The center houses the University of Southern Denmark, a private science park, a theater and concert hall (home to the South Jutland Symphony Orchestra), and a café.

The university department in Sønderborg specializes in engineering education and combined programs in languages and economics. Collaboration with the University of Flensburg and a high proportion of international students create a highly international environment.

Alsion is the first building in Denmark to combine education, research, and culture under one roof.
